2025 Chocobo, Awakened Inferno Statue
Debuted at PAX East 2025, this chocobo dressed as Chandra Nalaar was carted around the venue to promote the Final Fantasy X Magic the Gathering collab set. Off of her cart, she stands at 5' tall and is composed of over 44 individual 3D printed parts with an internal steel frame. As project lead, I oversaw the production process with a team of 9 artists. I posed the supplied model from WotC, split and booleaned it for 3D printing, and worked on some assembly and body work. I also was put in charge of eye fabrication, of which I had the opportunity to try a new technique in order to achieve the reflective depth an eye would show at that scale.
